Air BnB for Grey Nomads

AirBnB have created a new category in accommodation. As one of the world's biggest providers of hotel rooms, it is little wonder that somebody has now created a new category within AirbNb’s style of accommodation.

The FreeBird Club is a business style accommodation service available, targeted at seniors aged 55 and older. The grey nomads are active, wanting to travel, experience the world, but one could imagine would feel more comfortable being in the presence of others of the same age.

Members pay a small fee to join and are then able to choose between being a guest or a host. This is a classic example of starting a new business and creating a new category. One of the rules of marketing warfare is if you can't own a category, start your own.
