Many years ago while skydiving, I had an issue at 10,000 feet. The lines on my primary shoot were tangled and I couldn’t get them unstuck. Thankfully the instruction I had been given kicked in and I managed to cut away the tangled shoot, pull a new one and land safely. Recently I heard a podcast with a US navy seal who said that in order to keep moving forward we must cut away our worries, our past, our troubles and the things that steal our mojo. Cut them away like you would your tangled parachute. Not long ago on the Mojo Radio Show we interviewed Laura Coe, a fabulous guest who talked about emotional obesity - those things that weigh us down day after day, week after week, month after month, often for years. The stuff we carry with us that no longer is needed but instead we dwell on it and it weighs us down emotionally. Today think about what you can cut away. Is there one thing that has been holding you back from your dreams, from being yourself, from bringing your best self forward? Cut it away like an old parachute, never to be seen again.
