IDEAS : The Colour of Skin

 Cosmetics giant L’Oreal are doing their bit to lessen the impact of skin cancer by creating a thin sticky patch that when placed on your skin can show you exactly how much sun you are being exposed to.

The patch will be launched in different parts of the world shortly and is aimed at limiting our sun exposure and hence the risk of cancer to our largest organ.

The patch called the My UV Patch is only a few centimetres big and half the thickness of an average strand of hair.   When used with the free app will decipher the degree of UV exposure due to any colour changes in the patch and hence giving you an indication of sun exposure.
