Vultures are known to have a keen eye for scoping out dumped rubbish and Peru's Environment Minister has launched the 'Vultures Warn' campaign in a bid to enlist the help of the vultures to clean up the city. The vultures have been loaded up with Go-Pros which enable the local councils to collect real time GPS data and visuals that help the local council know exactly where rubbish has been dumped. Such a clever concept by someone who obviously looked at a resource that wasn’t being used, and in some cases had a bad reputation, spun it on its head and asked, 'How could this pest actually help us?' and inadvertently improve the reputation of the vulture itself.
