In order for you to get the most out of your day it's important to know what to focus on, what's important, and the stuff you want to get done.
I am all for a to-do list. The trick is not to be overwhelmed by your to-do list in that it gets in the way of creative spontaneity and thinking time. The idea of a great to do list should be to articulate exactly what your focus is for the day and the few things you need to do, that if done, will make it a great and productive day. The discipline of a tight to-do list gives you the freedom of creative spontaneity. For a different spin on your to-do list have a listen to Episode 21 of the Mojo Radio Show where I interview Didier Elzinger, CEO of a brilliant organisation called Culture Amp on how he organises his day to maximise productivity and performance. A to-do list that is too long will steal your Mojo and your creative spontaneity.
